Chapter One — A Quiet Beginning

Tea has slowly become part of our everyday life.

My wife Anna has loved tea for as long as I have known her. Over the years, our home has filled with teas from different places — Japanese, Chinese, Ceylon, Darjeeling.

No matter where we travel, tea finds its way into the trip. I watch the care she takes preparing it — the way an ordinary morning turns into something quieter.

My family has roots in Kurseong, in the Darjeeling hills. That connection stayed with me.

A note from the founder

Founded in Luxembourg, ChaiSoul began with Anna's love for tea, a family connection to Kurseong in Darjeeling, and the search for a cup of Darjeeling in Europe that tastes as fresh and memorable as it does at origin.

Chapter Two — The Journey

From the gardens of Darjeeling, into European homes.

A few years later, during a trip back to India with friends, I visited a tea estate in Darjeeling to bring home something special for Anna.

I still remember standing inside the estate store beside the tea gardens, discovering the aromas of different first flush teas and carefully selecting the one that felt right.

The estate vacuum-sealed the tea for me so I could carry it back to Luxembourg.

When Anna tasted it, the difference was unforgettable.

Even though she had spent years searching for premium Darjeeling tea in Europe, nothing tasted quite the same as the tea we found there — fresh, aromatic, delicate, and alive.

That moment sparked a simple idea.

“What if people in Europe could experience authentic Darjeeling tea the way it is truly meant to be experienced?”

Not as a mass-produced product sitting on a supermarket shelf, but as something intentional, emotional, and deeply connected to its origin.

That idea became ChaiSoul.

Today, ChaiSoul is a journey back to the tea gardens of Darjeeling — a journey built around authenticity, ritual, craftsmanship, and the simple beauty of slowing down.

Our mission is to bring carefully sourced premium teas from India to Europe while preserving the experience, freshness, and soul behind every cup.
